Kids - ages 7 – 9 years:

These classes use animated poses, songs, games, simple art projects and breathing techniques to help kids develop physical awareness and skills (spatial and environmental awareness) movement coordination, attention span, strength and awareness of breath. Having fun is what’s important in this class, which helps nurture kids’ inner strength and acceptance.

Tween - ages 10 – 13 years:

Kids' Yoga
During these ages, kids become more emotionally aware and understand the impact of their choices. Through fun yoga poses, games, and expressing themselves through creative journaling or drawing in a nourishing atmosphere, kids are encouraged to relax and enjoy themselves while they develop strength, coordination, flexibility and balance, as well as body awareness, better focus and concentration and self confidence.

Teens - ages 13 – 18 years:

Teens are introduced to yoga through an integrative approach using asana (poses), breath work, journaling, myths and affirmations in a non-competitive environment. There is a stronger focus on muscular skeletal alignment, and through the techniques used in Sydney Solis’ Mythic Yoga classes; stories are used to help teens relate to everyday situations. Additionally, they are encouraged to express themselves creatively through their inner artist words, dance or any positive artistic expression, to explore how everyday challenges affect them, and to open their hearts to find positive solutions. Teens are offered a safe environment that nurtures their self-confidence, respect and love for themselves
and others.

Storytime Yoga:

Created by Sydney Solis, Storytime Yoga™ classes use multicultural folktales and imagination to help journey through playful yoga poses, songs and breathing techniques. Children are introduced to a tale from around the world, then invited to deconstruct the story through yoga postures, songs, and interactive games. Children learn through language that helps awaken their imagination, develop critical thinking skills, become self aware, in touch with their bodies, increase communication skills and how to live in the world through multicultural stories.
